Cindy was part of the team which pioneered the Code for Responsible Mineral Extraction. Most recently she pioneered the partnership with an independent mill in North Sumatra to improve the farmer’s sustainable agriculture practices. In her current role, Cindy oversees the sustainability agenda related to palm for Unilever globally.  Prior to this, over her rotations through the Unilever Future Leader Program, she has also gained experience working in the emerging Asian markets of Indonesia, Philippines, and Thailand.

Shue Heng Yip, Head, Digital Transformation, Asia and Oceania, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG)

As Head of Digital Transformation, Yip is responsible for shaping MUFG’s digital network in Asia and Oceania and focusses on the development of innovative digital solutions and sustainable practices to address problems in the trade ecosystem in the region, particularly in the unbanked and under-banked segments of the population.

Yip has spent 20 years in Singapore’s public and private sectors, across financial services, legal services, and info-communication technology. Prior to his current appointment, he was a director leading the sector transformation for fintech, tradetech and legaltech at the Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA), a government agency in Singapore.

Thomas leads the Product Development Organisation within Bayer in Asia-Pacific. He is driving the innovation of Bayer’s solution portfolio in APAC which requires sensitivity for smallholder farmers, climatic and agricultural needs in Asia. During his more than 25 year in the industry he gained experience in different functions including Research and Safety Functions. He made presentations in congresses and participated in discussion rounds promoting innovation hand in hand with sustainability to cope with existing and future challenges in agriculture. Thomas supports Bayer’s digital and drone initiatives that helps especially smallholder farmers around the globe. Shaping the future of farming means to empower farmers with modern tools to make smarter decisions, enabling professional and smallholders field to produce food more efficiently, to increase productivity, Improve lives of families and communities without harming the environment.

Rauf Prasodjo, Sustainable Sourcing Manager, Unilever Indonesia

Rauf manages supply chain risks associated with Unilever's global sourcing of palm oil focusing in Southeast Asia. This includes day-to-day contact with Unilever's strategic suppliers on sustainability, the on-boarding process of new suppliers on policy compliance, company traceability mechanisms, and site assessments of high risk locations. He is also responsible for delivering smallholder programs to drive scalable models that reach and positively impact farmer livelihoods. He participates in international and domestic advocacy to support Unilever's palm oil transformational agenda through the implementation of the company's Sustainable Palm Oil Sourcing Policy and produce-protect models for sustainability through landscape and jurisdictional approaches.

Chirdeep Chhabra, CEO, DEX & Founder, Ocean Protocol

Chirdeep Chhabra is the founder of Ocean Protocol and CEO of DEX, a data marketplace enabling trusted data exchange. Prior to the Ocean Protocol Foundation and DEX, Chirdeep was the head of Data Programmes at the Digital Catapult in London and the founder of Audiotagged.

A serial entrepreneur and investor, Chirdeep has a Masters in Distributed Systems from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland and is a Chevening Fellow, CSEL entrepreneurship graduate, from London Business School in UK.

Ishwinder Kaur, Manager - Government Engagement,

Ishwinder is Manager – Government Engagement at Grow Asia, a multi-stakeholder partnership platform that catalyzes action on inclusive agricultural development in South East Asia.

Ishwinder leads Grow Asia’s government engagement initiatives. She is responsible for building the capacity of Grow Asia’s Country Partnerships and stakeholders, enabling them to engage governments by holding dialogues around key issues on regulation, policy and public investments. She is also responsible for supporting the development of the ASEAN guidelines for Responsible Agricultural Investment with regional partners from the public, private and civil sectors.

Paul Voutier, Manager - Digital, Grow Asia

Paul leads Grow Asia’s digital program. Mobile applications are an exciting tool and have the potential to create multiple opportunities for smallholder farmers, including access to training, credit and market intelligence. Grow Asia is working to develop a marketplace of new and existing mobile applications to empower farmers and other stakeholders in the value chain, including traders, application developers, buyers and governments.

Paul has significant experience building smallholder supply chains in the cocoa, citrus, cassava and rubber industries. Before joining Grow Asia, he worked with agribusinesses including Mondelez International, Olam, Syngenta, Heineken and Ironbark Citrus, addressing buyers’ needs for quality and regular supply and also the needs of farmers for credit, training and attractive pricing.

Gita Syahrani, Lingkar Temu Kabupaten Lestari Secretariat

Gita Syahrani is the Executive Director to the Secretariat of Sustainable District Association or Lingkar Temu Kabupaten Lestari (LTKL). LTKL is a membership based association established and managed by Districts Leaders in Indonesia since July 2017. Using ‘Collective Impact’ approach, this innovative districts partnership intends to accelerate and better support district’s sustainable vision aligned with Sustainable Development Goals, Indonesia’s emission reduction targets and Open Government principles. With more than a decade of legal, financing structure and strategic management consulting & programme implementation experience, Gita is a sustainability professional focusing on climate change & green investment.

She was the Senior Programme Management for the Indonesia Palm Oil Pledge (IPOP) and a leading member of the Planning & Funding Deputy of the former National REDD+ Agency, involved in the design, construction, negotiation and implementation of strategic work plan and funding instrument mechanism for REDD+ Indonesia. Prior to her time with the National REDD+ Agency, she held a Senior Associate and Lead Counsel for Green Investment and Climate Change division position at one of the first-tier independent corporate law firms in Indonesia. Gita is also serving as member of for the Permanent Committee of International Affairs at the Indonesia Chambers of Commerce & Industry (KADIN).

Amit is responsible for sourcing of Unilever’s Global requirement of all commodities (like oils, cocoa, dairy etc) and food ingredients. On the Risk Management side, he oversees the hedging of commodity exposure. He is a member of Unilever Procurement Leadership Team which oversees the entirety of the procurement of materials and services. Prior to this position, Amit has led the Procurement Operations for South East Asia & Australasia, based out of Jakarta, Indonesia.

Grahame Dixie is the Executive Director of Grow Asia, a multi-stakeholder partnership platform that catalyzes action on inclusive agricultural development in South East Asia. Grahame joined the Grow Asia team based in Singapore in December 2016 and will take the helm of this unique regional partnership, which is already generating impact through national-level initiatives in five countries.     

Grahame brings over 35 years of professional experience as a practitioner of agricultural development in over 75 countries, including an early career in the private sector. For the past decade, he served as the World Bank’s lead agribusiness advisor where he was involved in the design and review of the World Bank’s portfolio of projects linking smaller scale farmers to markets and agribusinesses. More recently, Grahame has served as an advisor to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
